if you are ever choking while alone ,,,go to a chair or counter top with an angle., or post..bend and thrust or push as hard as you can very quickly with your upper belly onto the corner,,,its kinda like self hemlic...

I heard from someone in science, you're supposed to wave your hand towards you if you open something and want to get a whiff.  That way if it's noxious then you don't get a full dose.

Speaking of stink:  Don't use rubbing alcohol on your face if you have oily skin and acne.  Mostly the smell is enough to gag.  I've found peroxide to work pretty well.

do not rest a plastic kettle on the cooker ,..i did it last week when i was cleaning up ,i forget to take it back of , when i was cooking dinner later that day i turned on the wrong ring ,so i burnt the a$$ out of my  kettle ,

Flmagi, that`s interesting. At least 20 years ago I thought how come my conditioner smells just like fabric softener, not kidding and always wondered if some laundry detergent guy one day just ppourd it on his head and figured it could be sold for that as well with a different label.

One line of wisdom for new drivers I can say is: eliminate all wishful thinking. Just because you want to slip through that yellow light, the driver in front of you may not do the same and stop.

And really, don`t check the coolant when the engine is still hot. And yes, do remember to remember to replace that washer after an oil change. And learn to tie all kinds of knots if you don`t want your canoe to float away. And, and, and...

The words of wisdom I learned at home were useless. I`ve re-heated spinach many times and did not die. And eaten raw potatoes.

real grass LMAO thats a good one I hate that fake plastic grass makes such a mess..the new fuzzy stuff they have is good.

Liquid fabric softner works great as a hair conditioner, especially if you blow dry your hair.

DO NOT use real grass in Easter baskets! I did this once years ago! NOT GOOD! lol

I have a tendency to waste steps all the time.  I come up, then realize I forgot the object I was going to bring up.

This one I need to do more: If something is on my mind and I can do it at the moment, don't hesitiate, because chances are I won't remember it later until a time I can't do it.

the cheapest and BEST remedy for removing dog urine (smell) from carpet.

blot up any wetness left on carpet

spray THOROUGHLY a mixure of half and half vinegar and water

work in mixture with fingers and then use a brush to penetrate the carpet fibers

let stand for a few hours...then blot up

after the carpet dries...sprinkle baking soda on the soiled area and let stand for a few hours

vacuum carpet

*** i only have area rugs in my house...so i also "treat" the underside of the rug too

this has worked better for me than ANY expensive commercial product that i have bought.

ok once when i had my first appartment I mixed amonia with bleach to get a really clean floor,,lucky to bealive that is toxic,,,be really careful mixing houshold cleaners not advisable....infact i rarely use chemicals now,,,vinager, lemon , baking soda and more can be used to clean and not release chemicals into your home.

this is serious, just helpful I always follow it NEVER WASTE FOOTSTEPS. ....For example i never walk up  or down my stairs with out carrying something. be it a misplaced glass, or a basket of clothes or a kids book or toy,,,when getting up from sitting on the couch. if  I see something in family room that doesnt belong their, I will take it to the kitchen....this simple thought/practice once a habit really makes keeping a clean house a lot easier,

I may have done something to that effect, but I don't remember when. Obviously it wasn't a big hit here either.  Oh and yeah, don't try to melt bakers chocolate in the microwave.


Also if you're thawing a loaf of bread in the microwave REMOVE the wire twist tie FIRST!

Just because both oatmeal and hot chocolate are made by adding hot water does not mean mixing all three ingredients will make chocolate oatmeal.  Well, it sort of did I suppose, but it was rather disgusting.

Stand back when you're pouring your alcoholic beverage remember it HAS ALCOHOL in it!!
Ouch I should have know red wine straight in my eyeball would burn like a son of a gun!! LOL!! So much for trying measure my cup in my dark kitchen huh?
