dont think your hubby would have to worry you bringing back a koala it would probably claw you to bits, and you have to get past a joey's mum!!
Oh Red!! You are very good at your geography!!
ONe American I met was convinced Australia was no bigger than England, I said, Ummm we are actually bigger than the US with an over hang over Canada and Mexico....he didn't believe me, he looked it up and sure enough! Talk about uneducated!
Another US friend believed that everyone has a kangaroo as a pet...sheesh!
When I think about Australia, the first thing that comes to mind is snakes and spiders... Deadly snakes and spiders! I have always wanted to visit Australia, and me and DH said we would for our 5th wedding anniversary, when that came around we pushed it to our 10th and now that is around the corner and we will probably push it off til our 15th wedding anniversary... LOL. Also my DH won't let me go cuz he is afraid I will try to smuggle back a koala or a joey.
I think i asked the wrong question,i meant what do they know about our country, not us!! I know the americans love us,except a few people thought i was a pom LOL Hey Red Im in the sth east burbs down the peninsula ~~ One fella thought we we had lions and tigers LOL yeah as if we need those with all the snakes and spiders weve got here already!!
G'day from a fellow Aussie! I reckon it is so funny when I travel overseas how the Americans especially love us! They kept making me talk all the time, which is ok as I do yabber on anyway!
I have had a few of my Yankee friends come over and they loved it here. I was the same going to US, I loved it there, but when I got back I realised how damn lucky we are to live in such a beautiful and peaceful place.
Bonza mate!
I have an artist friend who teaches at the University of Tazmania. So, I'd love to visit there, someday. But, thus far... all I know is from I've seen in media images. And, your country
is beautiful!
