My mom sent that to me not too long ago. Very touching!
my psychology class last mod , did a pay it forward,,,challenge,,,we did personal things and one group thing we wrote thank you notes for two hours, all the students it spread,,others not in class wanted to do the same,,,the notes went to wounded troops recovering/rehabilitating at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washimgton D.C.
some of these women and men have family support , some have none,,,
no matter what anyones political beliefs regarding the war, God Bless these men and women,,,when wounded(severly) they are medi'vaced out to Germany stabalized and sent to Walter Reed...they dont get to stop and pick up their personal belongings,,some have absolutley nothing but what the government and volunteers provide,,,I resurched this for the class, they need elastic band shorts, ( easy for the amputees to use and put on) and weight lifting style gloves for their hands when wheeling their chairs...we sent many...the gloves are about 10 dollers minimum...shorts are always on sale,,,,if you any of you feel so inclined,,,and want to pay it forward a bit,,,just do a search on 'Walter Reed" it seems they are the forgotten ones....the active troops have needs to but it is more widely known,,,,

Thank you SassyLassie, for posting this. I've never read this before. I was in tears. I will pass it along. My son is in the Military.
Oh my gosh.. the tears are streaming down my face , you were so bessed to have had the honor of your experience. I could see and feel the holy spirit working through you and all the others. What a God moment that was.
You have a lovely spirit.Thanking you for blessing my moment with your story.
just random but kinda about this subject. Please watch the movie on hbo..called Taking Chance,,,,Chance is a young soldiers name ,,,its about the journey of bringing his body home,,,,really really good, not as sad as you would think shows a lot of patitoitism and dignity.
