New to community

Hi all, so glad I found this community... I love my plants, and love to grow things from herbs, to mammoth elephant ears, and black elephant ears. I have five large palms, that I keep in my house during the winter, and a large amount of house plants. lots of perennials in my front and back yard. I keep all the annuals in pots, so I can bring them in for the winter, except the mammoth elephant ears. Those, I pull the bulbs and replant each year out side. I also love herbs, tomatoes. This year will also have bell peppers and spinich. I am not good with flowering plants, but will try again this year.

Welcome.

I love herbs and veggies and flowers too. They don't all, always make it in my garden but if at first you don't succeed....
I love elephant ears. I may try growning some this year. I too will have to pull them up for winter. We are only Zone 4 here, how about you.

I usually plant perennials. I have 2 acres that I'm working at turning into gardens..much to my "I love to cut grass" husbands dismay so perennials are a better value for me. Last year i built a dry river bed. He was very sceptical at first but now he loves it. Our sump pump drains out near it and I hooked up a pipe to let that water run down the dry river bed. He's thrilled every time the pump starts.

Well good to see more people coming here.
