Think I am going through menopause

Every time I have had my period I have had thick heave bleeding, swelling of the abdomen and pain. at the age of 40 I had a scare I past a  very large clot  and thought my insides where coming out. Went to a doctor and was referred to a gynecologist. Found out that I had fibroid's in both ovaries. I am still a virgin at 52 and now I thick I am going through menopause, will the fibroid's cause any problem for me in that it will take longer for my periods to go away ?

HI,
Fibroids are benign tumours of the uterus and not of the ovaries. Fibroids may sometimes affect the chances of getting pregnant. Hence confirm with your Doctor regarding the exact diagnosis.
Hope this helps.

HI,
Symptoms caused by fibroids vary depending on the size and location of fibroids. Most of the fibroids cause pain and excessive bleeding because of increase in vascularity and by causing endometrial hyperplasia. Fibroids should not affect the menopause.
Hope this helps.
