confused

please help a very confused lady of 50 . I am now very confused  if i have gone though or I am  in the menopause I have have had a proper periord for over 15 months. Oh good I thought this means i stopped and I have reached the menopause.  Then On Monday I started to bleeding again .I am still bleeding today Wed. My understanding was if you  not had a periord in 12 months you had hit the menopause.  So I have reached the menopause or not.

Oh aren't we ALL confused!  I went 6 months w/o period last year, then got it back.  My gyno told me if he had known I started up again w/ menstruation (was not my regular dr), he would run some tests on me as he doesn't like to see women go "in and out" of menstruation cycles.  I know this isn't a solution but if you haven't already spoken to your gyno, I'd recommend you do so.  Good luck to you birdlady!
