menopause and pregnancy

Can a woman who hasn't had a period for 2 years still get pregnant

Thank you for the reply, I have been feeling nausiated for a week now and it seems the same as when I was pregnant, I did take a first response test and it said no, I think to some small extent I almost wished I was but in reality that wouldn't be good

It depends. If the period goes away for reasons not due to menopause, such as high stress, weight loss or increase, or increased exercise, the situation can reverse and the person still conceive.

If the reason for no period for two years is menopause, it is extremely unusual to conceive. Ask your doctor for a blood test for FSH. If the value is elevated, you are in menopause and it will be very unlikely you can conceive.
