menopause symptoms

I'm a 53 years old and for a year now my menstruation becomes irregular, almost once every 2 months, but before that it comes like clockwork (very regular), now my concern is, can still get pregnant? - a little profile about me - I have 5 pregnancies, 3 full term,  I've been taking contraceptive pills for many years now and a couple of years back my doctor prescribed me an injectable, but now i stopped using it because of my age and hypertension.  My husband who is a seaman is bound to arrive next month, since we are still sexually active, and my present condition (I think I'm in premenopausal stage 'coz of my irregular cycle) is it possible to get pregnant? by the way my last period was Nov. 18th, please anybody with similar concern,  share some info....

Yes, as long as you have your period, you are ovulating and it is possible for you to get pregnant.  I had missed period before I gave birth to my second daughter at age 41.
I had a friend who was pregnant at age 52 while she had 2 teenage sons.
