Dear Evan,
Glad to know that you are going to complete all the tests asked for by the doctors. It is always better to find out the basic problem and get treated rather than getting a short term solution, especially considering your age factor. If nothing is found out from testing, you can always try the Viagra route with doctor's prescription.
By the way, when you say that you had proper erections during your puberty, do you remember any incident that could have led to the loss of erection, like deciding to stop masturbation for a while, penis enlargement exercises or any accident that could have affected internally the sexual parts? What kind of daily routine you have, if you do cycling for long hours or sit and work for long, it can affect blood flow to your penis and pelvic floor muscles, which in turn can affect erections. The kegel exercise for the pelvic floor muscle is supposed to improve erection in such cases. Here are some details of the exercise:

May be you would have already looked at these possibilities. Also there are some Yoga postures like Padmasana which improves blood flow to the pelvic region.
Again, if you get strong morning erections, at least occasionally, it would confirm that there is no problem with the associated body parts.
Please keep us posted about your progress as it would help many other youngsters having similar problems and I wish you all the best for an early recovery.

Its interesting you brought up the child abuse, most of my childhood recollection is terrible memories. Both of my parents were abusive in every possible way, except sexually. Needless to say neither of these people are apart of my life anymore.....
If I were to work out, I could go continuously for hours without stopping. To speak, I am in the best possible physical shape I will probably ever be in.
When speaking with the endocrinologists, she was only concerned with the levels of TSH, T4, and Prolactin. I might go back, because out of frustration I just went to another doctor and didn't finish the MRI's or blood work she ordered. (hoping for the Viagra prescription that I didn't end up getting anyway)
Hope this helps. EVAN
Dear Evan,
Thank you for your detailed reply. From your message I understand :
1.That your ED problem came up of late only and that you did not have any problem during puberty. I also presume that you do not have a history of any childhood abuse.
2. Your testosterone level was a bit high, can you tell me what was the readings and whether you have checked your LH, TSH, T3 / T4, Estrogen, Prolactin and adrenal hormone levels. What basically, I would like to know is if there is something behind the higher levels of testosterone, if there is some neurological problem, especially in the light of your experimentation with some drugs, combined with alcohol. .
3. You have mentioned your heart is alright, as I have already asked you, how long continuously can you perform high energy workout, do you have any quantitative figure. Basically I am worried if there is any venous blood leakage or some body cyst that takes away the blood during high rate circulation. If I were you, at this stage would have consulted a cardiologist and a neurologist for further investigation. A stress test ECG, if you have not taken already, you should take it. The idea of the blue pill is OK, but if there is any circulatory problem, it is not a good choice. Obviously there is some real problem and you should solve it first rather than taking short cuts.I very well understand your frustration, but I do not think you should stop investigating, I would also advise you to discuss these issues with your partner and I am sure she would be more than willing to help you.
4. I also read from internet that Vit D has a role to play in men's sexual health, you can Google and get more info. If that be true, you should again check if your body is indeed absorbing Vit D ( test for Vit D level again) and if it does not, investigate the problem behind it.
Better to work with the original physician and continue investigation as she/he is very familiar with your case.
Good Luck,

Can't say that I do, I wish masturbation was a option for me.
HOW YOU DOING?
BY ANY CHANCE, ARE YOU A FAN OF PORN? IM ASKING BECAUSE I HAVE AN ACCITION TO PORN AND I TRULY BELIEVE IT IS ALSO CAUSING ME TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS YOU-IT'S LIKE I NEED IT AROUND ME TO BECOME AROUSED, I INTED TO SEE MY DOCTOR REGARDING THE PRBLEM SOON, BUT I THINK THAT COULD BE IT. I THINK IT IS PSYCHOLOGICAL WITH ME. I I HAVE A NEW GIRLFIREND AND HAVE BEEN INTIMATE WITH HER A FEW TIMES, AND I HAVE GOTTEN ERECT, BUT HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO MAINTAIN IT....NO
I thought that I might add, I do not nor have I ever smoked. I have tried various drugs when I was younger out of curiosity, but have never abused them. I live a fairly clean mature lifestyle for my age, but like anyone around this time in life I may drink a little more then I should. As soon as the doctor said alcohol may be the root cause I drastically changed how much and how often I partook.
hey thanks for your interest guys.
I am actually a pretty relaxed guy, I don't stress or worry about much. This is always a problem for me, weather I am solo or with my girlfriend. I am a very fit and energetic individual, I am not diabetic nor do I have cholesterol or heart issues. I did do a hormone test while with the first doctor I saw, it took forever to even speak with anyone. She sent me to one of the bigger hospitals in my city for MRI's and more blood work, everything came back normal except a slight testosterone level was a bit high. I spoke to a Endocrinology after waiting months, (keep in mind I was watching my relationship fall through the tubes because I didn't know how to talk with her about it.) Anyways I spoke to the specialist who told me that she didn't see anything that would affect me to this point and in her professional opinion it was something else. So I went back to my original doctor from the beginning, frustrated with the answers and the help I was receiving I said that I wanted to speak with a male doctor THAT DAY.... (After dealing with female doctors the whole time I thought that maybe someone with a penis could understand how terrible I was and still am feeling.) So I spoke with a male doctor this time, went through the whole physical examination again. Was poke and prodded in area's I don't even feel comfortable exploring myself, just to be told once again that everything was normal? Sent me on my way to another blood test and was surprised to hear something different, this time it was vitamin D. I was cooperative, and have been taking them since the day he prescribed them. I cannot remember the last time I saw myself fully erect and I don't believe that this is some superficial vitamin problem. I don't know how to approach my doctor now without being frustrated, and I think that I have been through a lot in dealing with this problem. although I am worried about the actual cause I really just want some quick temporary relief.
Once again thanks for taking the time to read everyone! :) EVAN
Here is an article that may be useful.

So they ruled out diabetes? That's a common cause of ED.
Definitely call and ask for the Viagra Rx. It is a very common prescription and he or she must have forgotten about it.
If he wasn't against the idea, call in and ask for a prescription. He'll take your request seriously.
Naturally at your age, one does not expect you have any problem of ED, and that too for the past one and half years; so I am very curious..
How do you assess your general health?, do you feel very tired and stressed out ? Do you have any erection problem while masturbating, or does it show up only during partner based sex? Can you do continuous high energy physical activity like on a thread mill, for say, thirty minutes? Have you done a stress test ECG ? Very often a true ED at your age can be the tip of the ice berg of an ongoing heath issue and in that case, the right solution is to get that problem diagnosed and treated. Did you do a hormone test before deciding the hormones are not the real issue? You have mentioned you are low on Vitamin D, have you checked after supplementation that the readings have gone back to normal?
Apart from Vitamin D, Proteins, B vitamins and Zinc are very important for sexual health.
Please hang around and let us continue the discussion, if you do not mind.
