Delicate Problem, possibly multiple problems

Hello,
I'm 48, tend to have way too many erections, yet sometimes feel I have difficulty emptying my bladder, having to pee again (standing) after I poop.  I sometimes have blood in my stool, sometimes it is narrow, other times not, sometimes feel pain in my rectum area while simply sitting awhile at the computer, feel somwhat bloated, and sometimes like as if I have a pencil in my butt even if I don't need to BM at all.  At times, there is pain in my rectum that seems to ease after passing gas, as well.  I don't think it is good, so have a Dr's apptmt set up but some distance out due to few apptment openings.  Thanks for ay help.  The problem with so many erections has bothered me for some time, as I get these no matter what I'm thinking about or not thinking about it seems.  - Rather embarassing.

Are you on any medications for E.D. or taking an SSRI, both of those medications have a minor chance of causing spontaneous erections.

As far as the blood in the stool; if it still a liquid and it's a 'relatively' small amount it's possibly caused by a rectal polyp or more likely an internal hemorrhoid. Both can cause the GI symptoms you describe and both can bleed during a bowel movement, generally not very serious and usually easy to fix.

Hi,
You should start a new post to get proper replies, as otherwise people may not read it. In short, I would only assure you that at your age, it is all natural and you do not have to worry about it, you will get better mental control as you grow up.
Good luck,

I have had some of the symptoms far longer than any medications - only been on meds a very short while due to a recent injury.

Thanks to all for your caring to try to help me out.  I tend to think I may have polyps &/or IBS &/or cancer (or a precancerous condition).  I've got an apptmt for checking the prostate, but the bloodwork/PSA-test shows no problems, so that surprised me a bit.   I've read that DREs commonly miss cancers, so unless the doc finds something blatantly wrong, I may wind up being told all is well regardless of my being able to tell something has been definitely wrong, lol.

Funny idea though, is I wonder if I could make a strong tea from tumeric powder the night before the exam and start singing the James Bond "GOLDFINGER" song during the exam.  (haha)

Hi,
Your problem  seems to be of internal hemorrhoids. You should see a colorectal doctor. This must be causing pressure on  your prostate  and causes all other symptoms you have mentioned. Again if you are taking alternative medicines, do consult a trained doctor, finally they are also medicines with definite side effects, though generally mentioned as having no side effects, just because not much study has been done in that direction.

Good luck,
Solace

BTW,...I got into healthfood & herbalism years ago, when I started having some health problems but unable to afford a Doctor.  Some of this has been periodic for about 20 years....and just now able to see a Dr. about it.

I also used to have a deep fire-like burining feeling deep in my arms, legs, back & sometimes top of head.  With prayer & nutrition/herbalism I seem to not have that affliction much at all in recent years.  Antioxidants and other aspects of self-treatment (& prayer) all seem to have worked wonders in that matter.

I'm not on any of the meds you mentioned.
I do have a history of being into natural healthfoods, herbalism, supernutrition, & sports supplements -- not many sports supplements lately, though.

The blood is not as common lately...until a rather large amount a few days ago, and then not noticeable after that again.  I'm sort of wondering about the polyp thing myself, and maybe IBS perhaps, although the thought of cancer is in there some, too.  I can only do my best & prayer, so I don't care to worry too much.

Thanks for the input!
