Does Eye Floaters Can Cause Blindness?

I Just Look For Some Answers In Google and some people sad that it's dangerous due to retinal detachment that can cause to blindness : some said its not because people learns to ignore them.. in their lifetime..

i'm 15 yrs old i have them since 2008 and i am afraid of surgery or any laser treatment i just want to know what cure for this... because its too hard to accept that i'll be having this till the day i die...

So People What Are Your Opinions? Tips? Suggestions? Please I Need Some.. I can't even sleep by thinking of this annoying black spot in my right eyeball which are very disturbing every time during daylight specially when at school.

Floaters do not cause blindness, however the underying problem (why there are floaters) must be addressed. The most common cause is chronically elevated glucose levels, and that indeed may lead to blindness. You should get an evaluation for diabetes, to include an hba1c and glucose fasting test.

Floaters are very common, a lot of people have them and have no problems. Have you been to an Ophthalmologist yet to find out if this is indeed what's going on?
