You might just be a little late in reaching puberty. This is usually no cause for concern. Have you noticed any other body changes: like pubic hair, hair under your armpits, involuntary erections, change in voice, etc? If not, you might want to talk your parents and your doctor. Luckily, if you do have a hormone problem, it can easily be treated.
All the best..
Hey don't worry.Jst listen to mjbrown.When I was 15 I was of your height,but now at 20 I'm 5'11'' tall.So stop worrying.Everything is normal with you.
ok, I don't have any pubic hair, no armpit hair, but I do have involuntary erections. I dont think my voice has changed at all. I did talk to my mom, she said not to worry, but I didnt tell her about any of these things, Im embarassed about them. But im afraid theres something really wrong with me. Also, I dont think about normal sex things. What do you think I should do?
Involuntary erections are a sign that puberty is kicking in. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Some people take a little longer to go through the process, and I remember not hitting my growth spurt until I was 14 or 15. I know talking to your mom about these things can feel a little weird, but there is nothing to be embarrassed about. Everybody goes through puberty. It is completely natural, and the more you can learn about the process - the easier it will be for you. Your mother sounds like she would be supportive and understanding of your concerns. Pubic and armpit hair will start off as a fuzz. And voice changes will begin with having your voice "crack" now and then. The thoughts of sex come a little later on. Give the process another year or so. But if you are still worried, there is no harm talking to your doctor (or school nurse) about these things.
