I have a spot on the tip of the penis, dry/tender skin

Hi,
I have a small spot on the tip of my penis that is a bit more shiny and slightly more tender to a touch then the rest of the head. Looking closely it seems like a very thin upper layer of the skin is missing.
Other then that It doesn't hurt or itch or anything, and it hasn't changed shape. I think it just sort of became more defined and noticeable with years.

This same area was occasionally dry throughout my late teenage years (meaning last couple years, I'm 23). When it happened, it then peeled off and was sort of okay, but it always happened in the same spot and I think that's what caused the current appearance. I haven't payed it much attention since it was just a bit of dry skin, but now I'm I starting to be more conscious of my body and health and I decided to check if its anything more and if/how I can get rid of it.

Pictures (as tasteful as I could be):

Thanks for the advice!

It could be eczema, dermatitis, or anything along those lines. The only way to know for sure is to see a doctor. Peeling skin can sometimes mean a fungal infection, but since it hasn't spread or gotten worse for so many years, I'd have to think that's not it.

Don't try any creams at home - get it diagnosed first. A lot of creams for eczema are not meant for the penis, especially for the sensitive head of the penis, and you could make things a lot worse.

If lack of insurance or cost is a factor (if you live in the US), call your local health department and ask what resources they have for someone with your financial situation.

Let us know what happens.
