Was this an overdose???

My brother who was in a vegetative state, had a feeding tube and trach began to vomit which looked like coffee grounds??? Thanks

Thank you for your response. I have been researching on this topic and found the same diagnosis. Unfortunetly, my brother has passed three years now. The ER told us he had Sepsis??? I filed a complaint against the NH with DPH and they were found negligent. My poor brother suffered so much. Now he is at peace.

That is actually called coffee ground emesis.  It means there was bleeding in the upper digestive tract.  There may be a peptic ulcer.  You should ask the doctor what he thinks the cause of the bleeding is.
