Swollen and senitive foreskin.

Hello,

I recently noticed a small lump under my foreskin, right at the base of the glans. It doesn't cause any pain, and can be moved a bit, and it's appearance leads me to think it's a pimple or cyst deep in the foreskin.

A couple days after it appeared my real problem started. I noticed that the foreskin had swollen slightly over the top side of the glans shortly after I masturbated. It didn't cause any pain, and felt like a buildup of fluid, so I assumed I went too rough on the poor guy and it was swelling due to irritation.

The swelling went down considerably by the next morning, but after sitting on the toilet, I found it had become even more swollen than before. I assumed this has something to do with the way my penis was pressed against a corner of the toilet seat on the inside, and circulation had been blocked and caused a buildup of lymph or some other fluid.

It has been a full day now, and the swelling which was originally only on the top side of the glans, has also moved slightly to the left side. I put this to me not leaving it alone and agitating it further, but it does worry me because the swelling has not gone down at all. I have tried a hot bath with Epsom salts, putting a cold pack on it, and taking advil and letting it rest without touching it, but the swelling has not reduced at all, and it makes it hard and somewhat painful to pull my foreskin down over my glans, which I can only partially do.

Any advice on what I could do to try and reduce the swelling would be much appreciated. My next idea is to try something like coconut oil or an herbal wrapping of some sort to see if that helps. I don't think it is a yeast infection or balanitis, as the symptoms are only in relation to the foreskin.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Second ER doctor actually asked questions and examined me. Has referred me to a urologist. For now I'm on more prednisone and 2000mg of antibiotics daily. Hopefully this will help. Lump has stopped growing larger, and swelling is mainly located around the lump and very tip of the foreskin, almost entirely on the left side.

If I work a finger inside the foreskin and feel the lump from there, it seems fairly soft and somewhat spongy. Wish I could pull the foreskin back to get a look at it.

Since someone asked for further information about this, I figured I'd give more info here about how it all turned out:

The lump under my skin was a pocket of bloody pus, which eventually stretched my foreskin enough that the skin on the inside tore and the pus was able to drain. From there the antibiotics and prednisone took care of things over the next week or so.

The same spot flared up again a year later, and since I knew what to ask for this time, the problem was cleared up within a few days and before it got as severe as the first time.

A very small lump remains, but it causes no issue and the swelling has never come back, so I'm assuming it I some kind of benign cyst left over from my body trying to contain the infection, or scar tissue from the tearing.

Probably making another trip to the hospital. Lump is not improving and actually seems to be getting larger and more painful. Swelling has also returned to a minor extent. Taking final dose of meds now, and will be going to a different hospital if no improvement.

Doctor prescribed an antibiotic and antihistamine, so hopefully that will clear it up.

I'm still worried though, as the swelling has done nothing but get worse, and the prescription is only for 3 days. Fingers crossed.

Today makes my third out of 4 doses, and the swelling has gone done almost entirely. It does seem to flair back up now and again, but not near as bad as it was. I've also noticed a large, hard, painful lump in the foreskin where the swelling was centered around. Waiting to see if it will go away over the course of today or with my last dose tomorrow.

Should also mention that he did not prescribe an antibiotic and antihistamine, but an antihistamine, something to calm my stomach which is also a mild antihistamine, and a corticosteroid for the inflammation.

I have driven to the ER and am waiting on the doctor to call me in. Been here for almost 3 hours and the tingly burning sensation is driving me nuts.
