I need help with my pain PLEASE

I have been having severe horriffic facial pain in the forms of attacks for the past 6 years.  These are very migraine like pains and they triptans help me.  If triptans work does this immediately mean my diagnosis is a migraine or cluster headache? The pain can happen up to 3 times a day everyday for weeks and then just stop for 3 months and then come back.  There is a definite involvment with my neck, in that i used to be able to crack my neck (very powerful crack) and the headache that was about to start would not! the pain is along my temples down my cheek bone, over my jaw and behind my eye.  It used to be strictly on my left side then one day i had an attack on my right side.  Now i can have attacks on moth my left or right.  Sometimes the pain goes back and forth. i get nautious and all of the typical migraine symptoms but do not have an aura. mucles get very tense in the fron of my neck......The pain is not electrical or burning......but it is triggered by cold air....a cool breeze, the smaller the breeze the worst it is.....but its not an immediate trigger like trigeminal neuralgia sufferers, its like after a long time of having the breeze blow the pain begins slowly and then reaches its peek.  I am so lost and have spent thousands of dollars in trying to fix it.  A splint was made for me and that seemed to help some. i also got my atlas aligned by an atlas orthogonal and that also seemed to help.  Do triptans help other forms of pain, because due to the frequency of the pain and its association with my neck and jaw and due to muscle tension i do not think these are purely vascular migraines.  Please HELP PLEASE!!!! I am trapped in a body that tortures me!

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Yes triptans can help in other form of pains too. Since the pain involves neck, jaw, face etc and is triggered by breeze cold air etc it can be a migraine. However, it can also be a case of pinched cervical spinal nerves. This can happen due to overuse of computers, work involving straining of neck, canal stenosis, bone disease, spondylosis, poor posture etc. A MRI of the cervical spine may be required. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please consult a neurologist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

To to get relief from headache/migraine naturally, the full pranayam exercises are described below. This will also relax your muscles.
Initially do Anulom Vilom (as much as you can) for the fist few days and then start the full set of pranayam. This works gradually, so allow time (1 week upto 12 weeks) and concentrate fully on the breathing. Avoid cold drinks and drink warm water.

Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after 1 minute.
Kapalbhati -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for upto 15 minutes twice a day. Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.

Anulom Vilom -  Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed  deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 20 to 30  minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep breaths into the lungs.

Bhramri Pranayam -Close eyes. Close ears with thumb, index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out through nose while humming like a bee.
Duration : 5 to 15 times

Please come back to report your progress, as it will help others.
