I've Been Having Headaches For 2 Months!!! HELP!

im 15 years old and I have been having headaches for 2 months and 2 weeks now. It is a mix of Pressure and achy feeling. I was afraid it was a tumor until i found out i had NO OTHER symptoms of a brain tumor or hemorrhaging. When i bend over or move my head quickly my pain spikes. my pain is a 2 on the scale. In the begging it was like a 6. now its down to 2. First because they said it was because of my eating habits and my sleeping schedule (im over weight and i stay up alot) but then about a month later, I was diagnosed with mono and they said in the acute faze i will have sleepiness and other symptoms. They said i probably caught it 2 months ago that was there diagnosis for my headaches. Then i visited my doctor and told him im having the pain on one side of my head. the pain will move from front to back on the right side of my head. He asked me if i have been having a runny nose. I told him yes, alot. So he said it was probably from being stuffed up so i got a neti pot. The treatments have been working but it will seem to irritate my sinuses also. My tooth will hurt some of the time and the back of my head will feel hot. the pain will move to the top of my head the right front and the right back. Like i have said i have NO symptoms of a brain tumor ( no projectile vomiting, Seizures, etc) so Im pretty sure its not a tumor but i need reassurance I have anxiety and Autism! Im so scared i could have some serious Viral infection please help!

Hi,
Pain at the back of head or neck that intensifies on movement may be caused by inflammation of the blood vessels of the head or bony changes in the structures of the neck also.Anti-inflammatory medications and muscle relaxants may help. However, if this persists, you will really benefit from further evaluation by your doctor. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.

Hi,
Thanks for the update. Common symptoms of sinus infection are headache, facial tenderness, pressure or pain,  fever, discolored nasal drainage, nasal stuffiness, sore throat, and cough. Nasal drainage is usually clear or whitish-colored in people with noninfectious sinusitis. Drinking plenty of fluids and intake of decongestant may help. Take care always.

Thank you! the headaches are slowly going away they are down to a 2 they are in the back of my head and on top a little. i still have a runny nose. i really think i do have sinusitis. Can you have sinusitis if you dont have the discharge of yellow snot? because i did not i just had the pressure and achy headaches, sleepiness, head ache gets worse when i bend over, runny nose, and i had one nose bleed. thanks for your concern!

Hi,
How are you? Aside from chronic headaches, you can also have sinusitis especially if you have been having runny nose a lot and you have pain if you bend over.  You are right in saying that you do not have the same symptoms as brain tumor. Try to relax and drink plenty of fluids. You may benefit from seeing your ENT doctor as well. Take care and do keep us posted.
