Hemiplegic migraine?

The other day I had a problem. My vision started getting all messed up and that lasted for about 30mins. Then my right hand and arm went numb and I had a tingley feeling in them. Then my lip on the right side went numb. Then I started to get very very confused and I was getting all my words mixed up and not making sence. I also vomited about 4 times. It was very scary. Then I had a really bad migrane on the left side that lasted about 6 hours. Im only 16 by the way. I had the same thing happen to me when I was on a trip to the Dominican Republic and I thought it was because I was dehydrated. Guess not. My mom said she used to get Migraines when she was a kid.

This assortment of symptoms sound to me like what a particular chemical exposure would look like.  What we blame on a virus for flu should be blamed on the chemical exposure that would cause this.

Why I don't believe a flu shot helps:

Look of Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome, CFS, FM and you will see the same type of symptoms.

The reason we notice MIGRAINES in families, is because we can have multiple generations of chemically exposed to the SAME chemical

2-butoxyethanol has been in widespread use since the 1930s and I suspect worse and worse & stronger and stronger varieties

Is there anything different that has been going on in your life at the time these symptoms started up?  Did you work as a cleaning person in a hotel or anything like that?  Was there someone new in your life when this started up?

Anyone going on a long airplane ride can sit near someone who is overexposed and as they breathe it out in their respiration (not unlike someone who has been drinking will expell alcohol in their breath & Troopers can identify it with a breathylizer test) ...

and as it gets into your eyes, you are exposed also.

It looks to me like you have had a couple of serious exposures to BUTYL from some source, and I urge you to try to figure out the exposure and AVOID it at all costs.

Well I had an MRI and the doctor called today and said that their is a cyst in my sinus under my right eye. She said this may or may not have something to do with the migraines. She told me to go to a specialist and to still go to the nuerologist. I told her when my appointment for the nuerologist was (Next week) and she said I need to call and ask to go sooner, and if they say they cant to call her and have it expidited somehow.

Hi,

How are you?
Yes you are right that your symptoms are due to hemiplegic migraine. However it is important to differentiate it from stroke which presents with somewhat similar symptoms. Although the chances are less as you are very young and have a positive family history for migraines.
I would suggest you to consult your family doctor and undergo a complete clinical examination. You may need to take medications. Also avoid caffeine, drink plenty of water and sleep for at least 8-10 hrs.
Take care!
