I'm so tired of migraines

My name is Tony and I have been suffering with migraine headaches since I was 3. I am nearly 16. I'm a keen runner and in training for my first marathon. The migraines have striked again and I can't even go down the f***king stairs let alone run 26 miles. I have just finished a relationship with my girlfriend because of my headaches. I couldn't go out with her in my condition. My mum has been getting me to take nurofen and pills that the doctors said would work. Only drawback is they bloody don't. They come when I least suspect, my dad keeps on telling me I'd soon grow out of them, drugs don't work , doctors keep on lying to me , I can't find a cure that isn't some weird herb I haven't even heard of before and I,m so f*cking sick and tired of them ruining my life

Hi,

You seem to be under a lot of stress. Please remember stress is one of the precipitating factors for migraine. Also please make an effort to identify the trigger for your migraine attacks like a particular food item egs caffeine, chocolates, processed meats. Identifying and avoiding the trigger is the best way to treat migraine. I would suggest you to eat regularly, maintain hydration, sleep for atleast 8 hrs and avoid smoking or second hand smoke if that’s the case. Also you can try doing some breathing exercises and meditation to cut down stress. Good luck!
