bad headaches

My son is 11. He has a bad headaches every monday. He'll come home from school I'll give him two excedrin migran and hell go to bed.

it could be something they do in school every monday. do they have a certain class they have only on mondays? maybe he needs glasses? not sure. hope you get answers.

Do the headaches occur in other days?

How would your son describe his headaches? Will he be able to identify some triggers?

Are there any significant history surrounding his birth ?

How is your son's physical and mental development compared to that of other children his age?

Headaches in children may require further evaluation.Your son may be under a lot of stress lately and this may manifest as headaches. Anxiety over schoolwork or some changes in school ( especially on mondays ) and in the household may trigger his symptoms.You may ask the teacher with regards to your son's performance in school and his relationship and behavior towards his classmates.

If the headaches persist or progress,it is best that an initial assessment by his pediatrician be done.Consult his doctor before giving him further medications for the headaches.
