A good day yesterday & ....

It has been so long since I have had a good day that I can't remember when it was. Of course my memory is so bad that some days I'll go into my bathroom and forget that I was there is go. :)

I got my NEW GPS for my camera the day before ( 1 day before it was due to arrive) so I was anxious to try it out. So I headed over to the nearest stopping point on the Natchez Trace to take a few pictures. It has been ages since I have felt even the slightest bit like doing any hiking in the woods so I was really excited about this trip.

I managed to spent 2 hours hiking around and taking pictures, though I did rest for a few minutes ever place there was a  bench to sit on. Sure my legs were hurting really bad and it didn't take long for me to become drenched in sweat. I didn't care as I was enjoying it so much. Even if it meant I would pay for it today I still didn't care! I even got to see a fawn while out. Hurray! When I did get home I did need to take a 2 hour nap. Not too bad of an exchange there.

The surprising thing is that today I have also felt pretty good. No payback for the hiking yesterday. I feel so good that if there wasn't the rain I would have probably gone out hiking again today. I did go over to my friend Dave's house and he was sighting in his new cross bow. Every time in the past when he has been shoot a cross bow I could never see the arrows, but today I could see every shot even though I was 25 yards from the target. I could even make out the arrows in flight!

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately it was only a 2 day reprieve this time. Maybe I jinked myself by mentioning  the good days. :(

I'm so glad you are having a run of good days. It's been a long time since you've had some good days in a row!

I have been taking pics of the wildlife in my backyard, including the doe who hit my puppy that went to investigate her fawn. Boy did he smell bad after she was done with him!

It feels so good to have these days and I sure understand what you mean.  When I have those kind of days it always surprises me how good I can feel.  I hope these last for you.

I too saw fawns today, two were standing in the middle of the road, like they owned it.  I sat in my truck and watched them til a farm tractor came along and scared them and they jumped thru the grain field like kangaroos


may you have many more of those days!
