Abnormal MRI and ENG....MS?

Hi everyone,
I am a 35 yr old female who has a long history of health issues. Not sure where to start so here goes....I was given 2 vaccines while on active duty with the air force. I had a severe anaphylactic shock from them that caused my heart to stop and both lungs to collapse. I spent several weeks on a breathing tube recovering. My health has been on a steady downward spiral since then. To date I have  severe asthma, stage four endometreosis, type 2 diabetes, hypothyroid, degenerative disc disease, migraine headaches, chronic fatigue syndrome along with chronic pain, cervical stenosis wich is at c5 c6.....and the newest is vertigo with Facial numbness. My arms also go numb.  I didn't think much about these last symptoms until I woke up w/ my face numb on the right side. I have had an MRI w/ contrast. It came back positive for white spots/matter. I also had an ENG done that was abnormal. Neuro says it is my brain not the eyes and ears. She origanally blew me off and said the white stuff on my brain was from my migraines. I asked her why she didn't think it was ms. She told me the number and location of the spots. Then when the ENG came back messed up she changed her tune, but only slightly. Now she wants me to have a spinal tap done. Now this wouldn't be that big of a deal to me if I didn't have the back of an 80 yr old that has already been operated on and stuck a million times.  Also I have been told by others that even if the spinal comes back clear it could change in the future. So what's the point? When I asked the neuro if she though I had ms she said she doubted it. She told my husband and I that she had been taught by a bunch of "doubters". Meaning the doctors who taught her treated a bunch of MS'ers that they didn't think had MS. No explanation passed that was offered to us.  I live in Nc, about 2 hrs from Raleigh. I think I have ms. How many more things have to line up for someone to diagnose me? I just want to feel better. Are there any doctors out there who will listen, and look at the whole picture? I am fed up with doctors treating the symptoms and never caring enough to figure out what the poblem really is! Any food for though or doctor recomendations would be greatly appreciated...thanks for reading.

Hi Lulu,
Thanks for the reply.  No one have popped throu with any advice yet. I am new to this whole "web support community" thing. Trying to figure out if I am replying correctly to everyone's comments...so yes I am in the process of searching for a second opinion although from what I hear all the doctors in NC are not the greatest. Which leaves me wondering because Duke and UNC are here. Everything I read says they are all very uneager to diagnose people with ms or neuro sarc symptoms. This upsets me because I have tests that are abnormal. The MRI, ENG, and elevated ACE levels. Not to mention all the other issues. I forgot to tell you that I also have something called Erathema Nodosum. I fondly refer to it as "lumpy leg syndrome". Besides looking horrible( like someone hit me in the shin with a bat), it is quite painful. I don't have it often but when it flares up it is bad. The most recent was about two months ago.  One big lump on my right leg that stuck around for about 2 1/2 weeks. Then I wake up one morning and it is gone???? How stupid is that?
Anyway, if you ever hear of any good docs out his way give me a shout. I have been considering going up to the Cleveland clinic or possily pursuing a doc that was in SC and moved to NY. He had a pretty large patient base there and they all thought the world of him. Take care

Hey there,
I have had an MRI of the cervical spine although I am not sure what "t3" is....what it revealed was a deformity/curvature at c5-c6. The neuro surgeon who looked at it said he wouldn't be able to fix it entirely but would be able to fix it partially. I have had spinal surgery before. This fun event took place while I wash 3 months pregnant with my first child.  It was from L1 down to my tail bone. They did not fuse anything just removed ruptured discs.  When I woke up from the surgery I monentarily thought I had died and gone to hell the pain was so bad. Having surgery/ cervical fusion is a last resort for me. I am already bone on bone in certain areas and have spurs along with a heap of scar tissue. Everyone in my family doesn't like this doctor (neurologist in greenville nc) that Im seeing and wants me to get a second opinion, possibly from the Cleveland clinic Or a doctor that use to be in South Carolina and moved to NY. Can't remember his name but he was supposedly one of the best on the east coast in dealing with neuro sarc and ms. Did I mention that my mother has lupus? Not sure if it really matters. Did you ahve any input on the spinal being where the buck stops for a diagnosis?Anyway thanks for the reply and I hope mine finds you well.

Honestly I think your immune system may be in trouble caused by food allergies.  You may have a serious gluten problem - Celiac disease.  There are blood tests for Celiac disease.  What if stopping ingestion of gluten made you feel better and these possibly autoimmune problems to reverse?  It would be worth testing for.

I am in Raleigh, BTW.

If you have a doctor already "doubting" then it is time to find a new doctor.  Don't subject yourself to her preconceived ideas about your health.

I don't know doctors on the east coast, but hopefully someone else will pop through who can offer suggestions.

hang in there,
Lulu

Did she run an MRI of your cervical spine and was it done on a 3t?

I have a lot I would say but will wait for your answer to the above...reserving my opinion until then...
