MS?

Hi there
Will start from the begining....i had a intermittent burning left thigh and heel, i went to the doc and he ran standard bloods to check for vitamin/mineral and other things and they came back clear, he said to go to physio if it didnt clear in a week.  The next day i started getting a sore bum and sciatica and it went all the way down to my feet/toes with weird sensations.  i went to the physio and they couldnt find anything.  I went back to the doc and he did a referral to a neurologist and said it could be MS but he had done a general check and he couldnt find anything wrong neurologically with me.  A few days later i realised that whenever i crossed my legs the burning heel would come back...(the burning thigh had gone by then) so i went back to phsio and they found a problem with my hips and i have sciatica down both legs which she said would be causing my pain and burning.  I have felt burning in my legs (along the sciatic nerve areas too since).  So i felt happy with this diagnosis, but i also have felt burning in my wrist and i think elsewhere on my body too...(its very mild and when i think i feel it by the time i realise its gone....)

Im not sure whether im imagining the burning elsewhere (because im scare its MS) or whether its real.....Im extremely anxious and the reason i went to the doc is because i google my symptoms and it came up with MS, since then i feel other things like cold patches on my wrist, face etc...and tingly bits here and there that last a few seconds and are then gone again. (this is all since i googled).

My neuroligist appt is on 1st December so im not sure whether to still go to the appointment or not (i have to pay as i dont have insurance.

Do my symptoms sound like MS or Anxiety or something else??

Thanks in advance

I agree with Alex.  You should go ahead and keep your appointment with the Neurologist.  He can decide where to go from here and who if any other doctor's you may need to see.  I realize this is going to be tough for you financially, since you don't have insurance.

I am no Doctor and it would be hard to speculate. If you are really concerned I guess a neurologist is the way to go. Otherwise you can do a wait and see approach. Even with MS at the beginning there is a lot of wait and see so going to the Neurologist does not guarantee and answer.

Good luck,

Alex
