An extra bump in the road LOL

* Ahh sigh.. I've been added an extra bump in the road. Remember my new Endo (he's the one who had visions of Nobel paper fairies dancing in his head LOL) he found that my thyroid was enlarged at my first visit. I recently had my thyroid ultrasound and they found something that is a bit over 1 cm? So I am to have a biopsy, it is scheduled in a couple weeks.

I asked him if he thought this had any relationship to my other problems, and he said no. So I said, just an added extra, fun item? And he said unfortunately, yes, just an additional, seemingly non-related problem.

Did I ask for this **** at some point? LMAO I'm trying to think if I ticked off the Greek gods at some point or something, and dont remember? LOL ok you know I'm just being dorky. I dont' really believe in the Greek gods. ;-)    But this is enough already.

Thankfully though, things have evolved out of that first Endo visit, and they told me I have Orthostatic hypotension (blood pressure drops more when in standing position-think I posted about that). My heart rate had also increased at the same time. This set off a light bulb for the Neuro I guess, who thinks I prob. have Postural orthostatic tacycardia - I think just a fancy word for the blood pressure problem including times of increased heart rate trying to compensate. (whew!)  If not that, I definitely have the orthostatic problem first off.
No wonder I cannot stand up for very long, and feel like I am going to faint every time I am out in a store somewhere or have to try to go up stairs. Why didnt' this dawn on any of these doctors before now?
*sigh You know, I just never thought to tell any of them that I could not stand up for very long. I just tell them I am ' very weak' and assumed they would understand that was part of it. Very dumb on my part.
I am waiting for my test to be scheduled and to see an experienced Dr. in this field. It might be what has plaqued me all along. It could also be that MS or something else (diabetes?) is causing it.

But thought I would post about the darn thyroid thing.

Jeez Jazzy...can ya find something else...jk...my gawd, what the heck is next for ya?  I don't know but I think us telling the dr. that we are weak when standing ya think they would catch on...oops...wait a minute...sorry, we were talking about doctors were we not???

Sorry to hear about this newest adventure into the world of the unknown honey and I hope that they don't make it one of those long drawn out affairs...so stressful and time consuming and such a pain in the a**!!!

Let us know when you are scheduled so we can wait with ya...no, I sure hope they get at it soon so you don't have to wait anymore and hey, just imagine...this could be YOUR FINAL ANSWER!!

My mom had a thyroid nodule removed and she has done very well.  Please let us know when the biopsy is so we can pray for you.  Are your thyroid labs abnormal too?  My mom's nodule never invaded the thyroid so her labs were always normal.  Good luck and we know you will get through this just fine!!

If i remember correctly, thyroid cancer is pretty rare.i had mine removed twenty some years ago,due to cysts.i take meds to make up for the loss and have done very well with that part of my life.i hope the same for you.May god speed you to an answer, and grany you peace til then, take care

Hang in there and try to keep busy, I know how scary it is to have a biopsy, had a enlarging lymph node removed from my neck a couple years ago and it is a bit nerve wrecking but thank God it was benign. No matter what we are here for you and you are in our Prayers okay..You are human and all those feelings are pretty normal...just know
God is in control and you will be fine..I keep telling myself that too..

Thank you ladies. I have alternated between feeling not really worried, to moments of 'what if' where I can feel a bit of panic. Fortunately the what if moments have been few. I'm keeping it all in the back of my mind until I would actually hear the C word. Hopefully that wont' be the case.

Sometimes life just isn't fair.  I mean there are a lot of jerks that live in this world.  People who kill little children, rape and murder, and other sick things.  Often I wonder why God doesn't let those people have our diseases.  I guess it's true when they say only the good die young.  It should also state that only the good get the bad diseases.

I think I just wrote a bunch of jumbled **** in the above paragraph but anyway I'm really sorry this had to happen on top of everything else that's wrong with you.  Take care and you know that we will all be praying for you when you have your biopsy.  Let us know when it is and you have every right to rant, rave, scream, beat someone up. haahaaheehee

I'm sorry for that extra bump in the road you have gotten. You just can't tick off those Greek Gods you know. lol Please keep us updated on how this all turns out for you.
