The PA and I are gonna rumble

My new neuro's PA and I are gonna rumble.

New symptom for me ,my right side of my rib cage has a severe intense burning sensation to the point clothes rubbing up against my skin is enough to send me to the moon without a rocket.its extremely painful.

So I call the neuro's office and explained to the PA whom I have met in person, not a happy camper that one, and explained the symptom to see if there was something that I could do to lesson the pain and she said it wasn't a MS symptom.Oh,that women and I are gonna tangle,I just nicely, gritting my teeth to bare the pain ask if she would discuss this with the neuro. She told me NO!!!

At this point I was in tears ,she finally got the hint I'm in pain,I know its nerve pain, the same I get in my right foot. She said let me get your file, she came back on the phone and said well your on pain meds and valuim that should help you see the Neuro in 2 weeks.

She left it at that.I hung up and called the front desk at the clinic and the receptionist let me fax a letter to my neuro and since he wasn't in the office,he had hospital rounds ,but she'd make sure that he got it first thing in the morning.

I can handle pain, but this has surpassed a 10 and its enough to make ya eyes water with ever movement.Nothing has helped,I've tried ice packs, numbing creams, pain meds,my valium.I'm very close to trying a more of a natural remedy,if ya know what I mean,I'm sure my nephew will know where to get it.I'm at that point.

Just needed to vent.

Please, please let me at that witch. I'll beat her with my cane!! That is just so wrong and totally inexcusable behavior on her part.

As for the handsome Italian, I'm glad he is easy on the eyes but it is not right that you have to pay for someone else to look at you.

I truly hope that you find relief soon. I'm thinking of you. My tassles are in full gear and ready to go if that will make you feel any better even if to only give you a chuckle.

Sorry to hear about this new pain, and the old pain (the PA). I don't know if the rib pain I have is the same as you are having, but I agree that it is sometimes over the 10 mark.

I agree with granny about the ER, we don't want you taking any chances. As for that PA,  I think it is time for you to do a formal complaint against her.  Her actions are totally unacceptable!!!!  I would like to kick her *** myself. (Sorry, my Bama redneck is showing!! ha)  It is bad enough to be in pain without having to be treated badly by her.

You try to take care of yourself and I will pray that the pain will lessen and that you can get some cooperation from the neuro's office.

Love & ((((hugs))))

Thats how all my problems first started back in Jan this year a unbearable nerve pain around the rib area to the side i could not have clothes on it or touch it i was in so much pain, my doctors told me it was shingles but no rash came of it then they said a trapped nerve it came and went and thats how i ended up at my neuro and the rest is history they still do not know what i have!!

i get that same nerve pain now in my hands thighs feet and hands and arms in a flare and dont know what to do with myself my last flare was two weeks!!

The lyrica helped at first but iv increased it on every flare and im pushing it further to the legal amont which is 600mg im on 525mg the diazapam helped a little but there taking me off them as there addictive and its effected my moods but it did help at higher does.

I handle the usual pain that i get most days but when that nerve pain comes i cant handle it at all and it lasted two weeks and thats what gets me so down!!

I really know what your going through its awfull and ill pray it ends soon!!

And that PA...... i cant say that on here!!!  but you get what i mean.

Hi, T.

I think it's time for all of us to go kick some PA a**. How does this Neuro manage to keep any patients with a Pit-bull guarding the door?!

T, I live with nerve pain 24/7. I've tried Neurotin & Lyrica, and for me as they wear off, the pain is only more intense.

   Darvocet helps. Not enough.

You need a good anti-inflammatory to reduce the inflammation around the nerves.

Another thing that relieves it, albeit only while you're using it, is an ice bag, but wrap it in a thick towel, you don't want it too cold against the nerves.

I'm sorry the PA is still a witch. I had hoped she'd behave after you saw the Nero the 1st time and he wrote out your pain meds right in front of her.

Maybe it's time for a 'PA Roast'.

I hope you get some relief and soon.

   Hugs,
   Sheila

I gave the ER a thought, but I was there last tuesday for an attack that left me unable to walk because of the PA hag,I went back and forth for 4 days for infusions.Ended them on friday.

Monday of this week had to be at the ER so they could do a stomach scope and a ultra-sound on my gall bladder

Pretty soon they are gone just have a permanant room there with my name on it.

The pain hasn't lessoned,if not any better in the morning I will see my GP and he can tangle with my neuro.

So, are you stuck with with her, maybe?  I'd hate for you to have to self-pay the handsome doctor.  Is he married?  jk!  You don't have to explain the last incident with your PA, T --everyone remembers THAT!  OY!!!!!!  Hate her!

When you talk to the neuro, can you say something to him, like she is being unreasonable?  Being a PA, she is more educated than a nurse, but big stinking deal!  She's got the compassion of a sea sponge.  If I remember, you two had words right in the room with the doctor, last time about you looking for pain meds or something, right?  And the doc gave them to you.  So I'm sure he'll support you again.  He sounds reasonable once you can get through to him.

It sounds like a power trip with her.  Let us know how it plays out.  I hope you make it through the pain, like you always seem to....

You may need to go to the ER.  I know that's the last place you want to be but they can at least stop the pain.  I'm sure if you explain everything to them they may even call the neuro.  That would **** the old hag off, you know, if he came to the office the next morning mad at her because the ER had called him in the middle of the night.  Sounds worth it to me.

All vengeance aside, your in too much pain to wait until morning.  When pain gets above a 10 it can cause you blood pressure to get way to high.  That spells danger.  So please consider it.

I'll be praying,
Carol

She is a PA which makes me think that she must have a license yes? She would be bound by an ethical code. Perhaps a complaint to the state or at least the threat of one to the office manager of the doctor's office is necessary.

Just a thought.

I will be back on the phone in the morning, but with one of my old neuro's,I can't handle the new neuro's PA,she's clueless to MS and a rude witch. She treats patients nasty.I'm not one just to get on the phone to complain.my last attack put me in the hospital over night because this PA wouldn't talk to the neuro.I went 2 and a half days and couldn't walk, her thinking was you see the neuro in 2 days.

I need a Dr"s office thats gonna listen to the patients, not ignore them.

I tried neurontin and lyrica a while back and had an allergic reaction to them.

Yes the PA is a real unhappy witch, bet she saves on gas with that broom she rides!!!!!!

I'm gonna call a past neuro ,he doesn't except my insurance and see what he has to say.he's real good at consulting with me and darn is he good looking. He's almost worth self paying.Okay my mind is out of the gutter.

I'm really leaning on going back to him even if I have to self pay.

Your PA needs the flogging that Johnny U says we give to him!!! Maybe we can all call the office and give her a piece of our minds.

She sounds totally rude, crude and totally unattractive. You give it to her but not at the expense of your health.

Are you on Lyrica? I wonder if this will help with the nerve pain. It helped me with very painful nerve pain.

Hang in there.
