I personally think he's grabbing at straws. It is normal that PND is diagnosed before the cancer; I've had no cancer of which I am aware, but if I have any, I'd sure like to know it.
What I will ask him about first will be my relapsing and remitting. That doesn't seem to make sense with this mechanism. Well, what makes sense anymore?
What symptoms are you currently having? That would make him think this? I know you haven't been feeling well (and I'm sure this doesn't make you feel better). It's awful that the neuro don't explain more when they decide to test.
i now go in with a list to every doctor to make sure I ask the things I want to ask. Now I am learning I need to write down the answers (duh).
I've just been trawling the internet looking for information on oligoclonal banding, Purkinje cells and ataxia, and noticed that PND was also mentioned in the article, so here's the link to it if it's any use to you.

PND is related to having cancer, right? It's like when your immune system fighting the cancer starts attacking your nervous system? Something like that?
That's about all I know about it and I haven't had any personal experience with it. I haven't been on the forum long enough to know whether you've had cancer, Pastor Dan -- sorry!
Does one need to have active cancer for PND to be active as well or can it just be residual from a past battle?
Regardless, I will pray for wisdom for the drs, peace for you, and for quick answers!
