Bad news last night

I got some bad news last night from my bother. Our mother is dying. They only give her a week or two. She is staying at home with my brother with 24 hour care until the end comes. I did talk to her for a little while today and her spirits are very good as she has been preparing for this time for quite a while now.

I'm making a trip out to Oregon to see her this weekend and don't know how long it will be before I return home. My friend Dave has volunteered to go with me so that the drive will not be too hard on me. We are planning on driving straight through in order to get there as soon as posible. Wish me and Dave luck on the drive, we sure could use it.

I know we don't know eachother or most of the forum personally, but I know that I don't just speak for myself when I say that your  "family" here, are thinking about you, and the terrible pain you are going through right now.  Please always know, you have a haven of comfort here, and always our listening ears.  We hope that you can feel our huge embrace, our huge, gentle, group "MS Hug"  Take care, and have a safe trip to be with your mom.  So, so sorry for your pain.
