Pain in one leg for weeks?

Does anyone get pain in one leg for weeks at a time? It was in my calf, now also in my knee, my thigh and my hip. It's scary. They ran a blood test to see if I was having clotting issues and it was negative. Blood tests did show nerve damage. (no kidding, doc). I have the coldness - sometimes in an arm, today in my calf - forever in my feet. Went to the ER with paresthesia in the left side of my face and left leg the other night. 3 months ago I had a life. I want it back. I go to the neurologist on Thursday if I can concentrate long enough to complete articles for my clients to pay for the umpteenth visit to a doctor in 10 weeks.
Sorry -I'm usually that "cute" one - the one with all the self deprecating jokes and smiles. I'm too wigged out though, right now.
Thanks for any info.
Renee

Thank you! I almost went the entire day w/o the pain - and then it hit in my calf and hip and lower back on that one side. nice. Right now I'm reaching for the xanax for the anxiety and will definitely be seeking pain management from my neurologist this week.

I am the queen of pain. I live with it in my calf and foot everyday. I am on lyrica to help with the burning. The pain to me has become livable. After having it for so long I think I have just adjusted to it.

The new pains are the killers, when one shows up where I am not use to it. I do take muscle relaxers for the spasms and call my neuro when I have new pains in different places, just to have it recorded in my records.

I wish you luck and just remember there are medications out there that will help with your symptoms during the diagnosis process, you don't have to suffer so ask your doctor for some meds for your symptoms.

Take care,
Paula

Some of us get spasticity that can run from your lower back/hip all the way down to your foot.  I have this and take Baclofen to manage it.

Thank you for your input, Nancy. I really appreciate it. It's so frustrating! Can't believe I actually look forward to the Neuro appt. I'm sorry you've been dealing with symptoms for so long with no answers. You'll be in my thoughts. (Seriously...you have the same name as my mom.) :)

Good luck to you too,
Renee

Hi Renee,
I am also waiting for some answers. From all i have read , and believe me it's been a lot, your symptoms could be from MS. Have they done a LP and MRI yet? that will
determine a great deal also. The neurologists usually look for a few exacerbations....that combined with tests shows them the way so to speak. MS is difficult to diagnose because it mimics other diseases. Make a journal of when and what you have been feeling with any attributing factors. That will help because when asked sometimes the important info slips your mind.

I don't have the diagnoses yet but after 10 yrs or so of dealing with exacerbations I am expecting the diagnosis to be yes. My last MRI is a lot different than the one i had 2-3 years ago.

Good luck with everything and keep moving forward.

Nancy
