Urgent: I need Help! IVSM treatment and TMI post

I just finished my IVSM 5 day yesterday and am becoming more concerned.

My skin tone looks sickly. My temp is 97.5. My vision blurry - not the same vision issues as before. I feel weak and sick. Out of it. I shouldn't drive it's that bad.

Another concern: I started my cycle on day two. It was quite early (I think 10 days) and its heavy. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. It doesn't seem like a normal cycle. There is an oder that is atypical. (Sorry all.) I am concerned I'm bleeding elsewhere and don't know it.

My doctor hasn't checked in me or given any directives on what to expect. This was all done over the phone. Their office is closed today so I called my regular doctor to get in to see them.

Is this normal?

I saw the PA at my doctor's office who felt a little in over her head and called in the director and his Assistant. lol ~

It appears that my system isn't used to these drugs. HA! The stress caused me to start my cycle and the steroids are causing it to be heavier. Go figure!  As long as I stay where I am, I'm good. Yay!

He said everything will be a bit haywire for a few days. My metabolism is increased and my blood sugars are sky rocketing. I have hypoglycemia so this likely caused some of my symptoms.  I also am running a temperature since Saturdays treatment, which is flaring me a bit, so I'm going to stay on Tylenol for a couple days and hope that will ease some stress on my body.

I just felt really weird but I'm doing better...he said I should feel pretty good in a couple days....so I'm just going to ride the wave. Thank you very much. I was a little scared earlier today... but right now, I feel like a stay puft marshmellow woman with vision issues. (I'll take it!)

Paula,

Thank you.

I am heading to my regular doctor now.

She didn't put me on a taper.

Maybe my regular doctor will. We will see.

Thank you again!

I can't say that it is normal. I have been on IVSM a few times and never had these problems. You may want to call your primary doctor and hopefully they have am after hours number to call.

I think if you are feeling that bad then you should maybe make a trip to the ER to make sure it isn't anything serious.

Did your doctor put you on a taper dose of prednisone?

Good luck and keep us informed!

HUGS,
Paula
