Hey lady!
How are the kids? You guys have the nasty heat wave too?
I have the achy, not quite a cramp, not exactly painful but bit tight like it wants to cramp feeling in my left hand most of the time.... get it in my right hand when I over do things (like frying bacon for BLTs, use the tongs and the action caused my right hand to tighten and get crampy).
But, yep, all MS related. I even had nerve conduction done, they were hoping for carpal tunnel or something 'fixable', but it seems the arm and hand issues are simply bad luck of where a lesion happens to be sitting.
The crazy part, is that a warm compress actually helps! Heating pad set on low or if you have a microwave gel pack, I heat it up for like 20 seconds and it helps with the cramp. Byron will massage my hands too when they bug me, helps as well...
Its a good day / bad day thing (like everything else right!)..... my hands bug me more since the hot humid weather moved into town. Over the winter, did not have the hand cramping much, my left hand sometimes, but my left arm / hand is my week spot.
And yep, feet will do the same thing... sometimes it like being 90 and walking on boards, things just won't bend and move normally... they usually loosen up with movement, but again, weather and over doing it is a big factor...
Hope you're doing well otherwise!!!
Hugs,
Jen
Hi Jen,
Nice to hear from you! Kids are fine, thanks, but Maisie has been a bit of a nightmare lately with terrible behaviour so that's been a constant source of stress we could all do without!
I kind of assumed the discomfort was MS-related but you know how it is; you don't wanna put everything down to MS. My gp thinks its MS and he explained that our muscles sometimes have to work harder than the average person and that can lead to aches but also, like you say, it can be down to where lesions are. Anyway, the codeine does help!
How are you doing? x
