Could there possibly be a connection with MRI findings

I have one hyperintense foci in the subcortal white matter of the parietal lobe although it has been described as the Frontal lobe too. We have I think established that it is the same lesion so I guess it is pretty close to the state border! When I saw it, it looked like a bright light bulb on the upper right side of the butterfly shape in the middle of the brain it would have been touching the wing.

What I am wondering is a fair few of my symptoms seem relate to the basil ganglia, blespharospasm, dystonia in the hands & waves of pins and needles when I yawn.  (I do have other neuropathy in my arms and legs and problems with my bladder.) My symptoms are constant.

So my question is - could the lesion affect the basil ganglia and cause the symptoms, if not what could have affected the basil ganglia for it misbehaving?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Many thanks Bob, it was looking at pictures that got me thinking and made me ask the question as I know nothing about the brain. But it looked quite close. Unfortunatley I do not know the size of slices only the fact it was a 1.5 tesla machine and it was a T2 image.
Thanks again

Since we don't know how deep the slice is, we can not really tell if it is near the basal ganglia or not.  It very well could be since the caudate nucleus (part of the basal ganglia) is in this area (below the parietal horns.)  That is if I remember my neuroanatomy.  At lest it is a gew more images you can Google to see if it is the correct area.
