DMT choices for someone with pre-existing cancer?

I'm just wondering if immunomodulators are any better than immunosuppressors.  I was sent home from my ms clinic appointment with information on Aubagio, but I'm reading you shouldn't take it if you have cancer.  My cancer is minor, not major, but it is there and requires continual monitoring.

From what I can see Aubagio is an immunomodulator yet they are still recommending against using it if you have cancer.  Are there any other options?

I second talking to your medical team.

I always take a list of questions to every appointment. We get so little face time, that's it's hard to not have it pass us by without getting the information we need.

aspentoo - What about making a phone call vs. trying to remember during your appointment? I know I always forget questions I wanted to ask during my appointment! I would also cross check with your doc who is monitoring your cancer to get their take on it.

Sometimes it feels like we need a medical degree to manage all this, doesn't it?!?!

Yes, I've decided to fax him the things I missed.  Thanks!

Definitely something to discuss with your medical team itself. They're the ones who'll have (or should have) the "big picture" in mind regarding other health issues and possible drug interactions, etc.

You would think.  So hard to remember to talk to a neuro in "the" appointment.
