THANK YOU BOTH FOR YOUR INFORMATION. PSEUDOBULBAR AFFECT HAS BEEN MENTIONED, BUT NEVER REALLY EXPLORED. I READ THE INFORMATION ON THE DRUG MENTIONED, NUEDEXTA, AND I AM EXCITED AND HOPEFUL THAT IT MIGHT BE AN ANSWER TO MY PROBLEM. I TRULY AM "DESPERATE".....THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT.....
Your concerns are very understandable, I'm sure it must be so uncomfortable for you when this occurs. It can be scary to lose control of any bodily function including and perhaps especially our emotions.
It is possibly due to pseudobulbar effect as Bob has suggested. If you haven't yet discussed this with your physician, I encourage you to do so, as there are medications available, including Nuedexta as well as some anti-depressants, which might be of help to you.
I cry when I am happy or sad. I always have. Dancing with my sons at their weddings. I cry. I cried at their graduations. I cried when I took them into the ocean the first time. I cried watching them on the rides at Disney. I cry when they announce a new baby is on the way. I cry when my sons brought their partners home the first visit. I cry when holding my new grand-babies.
I cry every anniversary. I cry watching my husband in prayer. I cry watching my husband perform on stage. I just am a cry baby.
I cry when I am sad. I cry at funerals. I cry when my husband or children are hurting. No one here thinks I am crazy. It's just Mom...She cries...lol
Have you been evaluated for Pseudobulbar affect? It goes along with MS, but is not related to depression. It has to due with frontal lobe changes.
