I have been to PC twice with infection

I am trying peppermint as a preventative. I started with peppermint tea. I also started using a peppermint oil capsule a day for my spastic gut. To early to tell. Dr. Oz talked about the peppermint Tea for UTIs and the Doctors mentioned the peppermint oil for IBS. I think the oil is also ending up in my bladder.

I note you have several UTIs ditto I seem to have them every couple of months.
Lulu wrote about urine retention and bacteria growth I think that is plausable my GP did mention this also.

I had wondered about having a long term antibiotic low dose to keep it at bay but the immune is already suppressed.
I have found a natural product that really helps.

Waterfall D-Mannose this seems to work  if caugh ealy enough.

You mention also that you are a twin so am I and my sister is in a wheelchair because of some cysts on her spine yet we share so many simular symtoms.
She is on long term antibiotics because of ITUs.

Perhaps the doctor didn't get you on the right antibiotic to begin with or you have a particularly tough strain brewing.

I know this paast spring/summer it took several rounds of antibiotics to finally knock my UTI.  

Hopefully your new med will make the difference.

Sorry - it appears we lost the end of your message.  Did it finally come back positive or are you trying to tell us you went twice and each time you've been told nothing is wrong?
