I believe what they are saying, is you don't have any active lesions at that time. Just guessing though. Karina
Yes, the focal enhancing lesions means when they put the dye in, it didn't show brighter. I'm a fellow limboer and have read a lot too. I also discuss things with medical professionals and am trying to learn from the source. my neuro atually does a decent job of explaining MRIs to me, so I'm really learning.
I used google image search to compare my films, though I noticed this kind of made me a little crazy, so my family took my films from me until my appointment or the doctor called.
Good luck, hope you get the report soon.
When I look at my MRI I see a whole bunch of stuff...lol I can make the pictures move but not stop.
My MRI was with and without, they injected me right at the end.....it took maybe 4 minutes after they injected me and then I was done. When they say there are no focal enhancing lesions ... I'm taking this to mean that when they put the dye in it didn't show up brighter....I have no idea lol

When you look at your MRI do you see any white oval shaped areas?? These are lesions. They are thin. Hot weather makes MS symptoms more pronounced. I have some probs with hot showers, now I take cold ones, with a splash of warm. Test this out and see if you do better.
Was your MRI with or without contrast? Did they inject you towards end of test?/ To help with heat probs, you can use ice cubes, if indoors. Or there are cooling packs (so I've heard), to help lower your temp. karina
My neuro problems are Off balance feelings....hot showers makes my vision weird .. I see shooting stars and balls of fire...But ONLY in hot showers no where else. Hot humid weather makes me sick to death!!!!!!!! Im nauseated, dizzy, I "feel" weak....and I have ZERO energy.
OMG I just read my first post.......Wow talk about not having your brain today!!!!!!! I don't know why I went off on my script for Lyrica!!!!!!!! lol
I had my C/Tspine MRI today.........I have the pictures but no report......cannot tell whats up with the pictures.......they don't even resemble ME!!! lol
Lisa,
Your MRI is one of those that could mean many things. I'm no doctor, just a fellow limboer who has had a ton of MRI's and reads a lot. I'm guessing that prolongation means an area of hyperintensity.
Lesions in the periventricular area are classic for MS, but depending on the size the neuros may discount it. At least that's been my experience.
I'm sure Quix will come along with a little more accurate info.
Well I'm not a dr. Quix could help you the most probably. But I believe the white matter are lesions. Are you having memory, balance issues? Ant sensitivity to heat?? Karina
