I think it was last year that we listed embarassing moments living with MS. It was so entertaining annd stress relieving, I thought I'd share my Easter MS blooper and hope you all will add your holiday bloopers!
My brother was hosting the holiday at his house and invited us so we wouldn't spend the day alone since my Dad (who has terminal cancer) didn't want company. I bought the biggest dinner ham I could find. My 25 year old daughter helped me to stud it with cloves, artistically place the pineapple, and sprinkle it with brown sugar. It looked absolutely beautiful. The aroma of the ham mingling with the spices permeated the air. It was time to take the ham out. I opened the oven door. It looked as good as it smelled. My daughter took the roasting pan out of the oven and placed it on the counter. I knew I couldn't slice it in the roaster because it was so big, it filled the pan. I took the electric knife and cut it in half. I took one of those big forks you use for bbq'uing and speared it. I slowly lifted it out of the pan and inched it over to the platter. It began to wiggle on the fork. My God! It's alive!!!!! And that darn half of ham jumped down onto the floor. The dog raced over, ready to pounce, I shrieked, my daughter shrieked and dove for the ham. She lunged and got it just as the dog slid Scooby Doo style to a stop. She threw it into the sink and after washing it off for about 5 minutes, pronounced it fit. I sliced it and happily ate it for dinner at my brother's house with nobody any wiser to the mishap.
