Neuro complications

I came down with a severe neuro catastrophe last year. First diag. Guillian Barre, then transverse Myalitis, then relapse remitting MS, arachnoiditis. Couldn't walk or move arms, was hospitalized for about two weeks with no known cause. EEG shows no latency in all 4 limbs and EVP shows significant latency in trunk with no known cause. 7 taps over 8 months still show matching bands 10/10 with no blood brain crossover. NO brain or cord lesions visible on multiple MRIs. Small cyst like shadows in cord but neuro feels too small to cause such significant bi lateral symptoms. Still have difficulty walking for more than 20 min. Can not run and have severe headaches for days at a time. Neuroptic myolitis also ruled out, leukemia, lupus and a host of everything else under Rhume and Infectious diseases. Before end of year, nodes were found in thyroid and biopsy confirms papillary carcinoma and had (enclosed) and had a thyroidectomy and no radio iodine. Oncologist and neuro team ruled it an incidental finding and no connection to the auto immune attack. Lost bladder as well at onset of attack but have about 80% recovery for that. Done 3 rounds of IVIG, steroids, Gabapentan, baclfen, and a host of other nerve pain trials. With no change in mobility and no answers, I stopped all pain management meds and currently just take levotyroxen and Cymbalta, to help with the phsyco trauma as well as constant cramping. Significant muscle wasting in forearms and legs. Feel foggy, almost buzzed and still have extreme pain in back, head and between shoulder Blaise for 10 months.  Soooooo.....anyone out there have any ideas what autoimmune disorders would cause banding in mi I always unchanged protein in csf as well as mobility problems in arms, legs, bladder, etc. with NO signs of demyelination or lesions in brain or cord? I've reached the end of my armchair quarter backing and I clearly can not go back to med school to become a neurologist at 43, plus, my BA in Forestly sets me back a bit. Sorry for th ramble, thought I'd reach out. Pub med did not have much do maybe someone here overseas might have a suggestion or 20.
Thx folks.

Hi and welcome,

Are you saying that despite all the different dx you were suspected of potentially having or diagnosed with having there is no conclusive diagnostic evidence of anything in particular, and you've been left in limbo?

What you have so far:

-normal EEG,
-no brain or spinal cord lesions,
-no abnormal blood tests,
-matching bands 10/10 with no blood brain crossover (not -matching would be abnormal), did i miss anything?

-biopsy confirms papillary carcinoma and had (enclosed) and had a thyroidectomy and no radio iodine.
-Small cyst like shadows in cord
-significant latency in trunk
-multiple symptoms associated with spinal causation
-? neurologically abnormal clinical signs (neuro assessment)

Has Chari malformation, cervical spinal conditions, brainstem related conditions been considered?

Hope that helps a little..........JJ
