Gabapentin Question

Hey everyone.  Hope you are doing well - I am awaiting an appointment with the Neuro-Oncologist scheduled for May 5th, while I continue to have more and more trouble with my legs... .

Anyway... here's my question.  GN started me on Gabapentin 2 weeks ago.  First week just 1 dose of 300 mg at bedtime.  This week... add another 300 in the morning.  Next week I go to 3 times a day.  So, I'm now taking it twis\ce a day.

The past few days, I'm particularly shaky feeling... not noticeable from the outside, and vision is blurry.  I don't know if I can blame this on the Gabapentin as a side effect, or if it is a true worsening of symptoms of the spinal cord tumor.  Any thoughts?

Thanks, and hugs to all!
~Linda

A spinal cord tumor will not cause eye problems it is too low. Gabenpentin can make you shaky. Usually it gets better as your body gets used to it.

Oh, THANK YOU, Alex.  :)Just for the record though... the doctor says this tumor is likely slow growing.  My MRI's back in 1997 showed a lesion in the same spot, but they never decided on what it was.  :(  So, looks like I've likely had it for at least 18 years, which may explain why I've had so much neck pain since then.  In 1997 they did the C-3 thru C-7 laminectomy for cervical stenosis and what they considered in injury, which I had in a car accident.
