Thanks, they have gotten better daily. I had had a rough weekend not sure if that had anything to do with it. I am a nurse and on my weekends (3p to 3a) to work they are 3 in a row usually 12 hour shifts. On top of that this weekend I had a wedding to sing at which cut into sleep time. So I probably brought this on myself. Each day it has gotten better. I have had parasthesias before where it hurt to touch my skin and could not wear anything that didnot hurt but this was magnified times 1000 and it was scary. You all are the best.
I have never experrienced anything like this and it sounds incredibly scary and painful. I really hope that you are feeling better now and like sunburn the symptoms diminish daily.
Bye for now
Sarah
Yes It felt like if I could wrap myself in an ace wrap I would feel better but getting dressed was excuiating. Thanks for the help. Scared me to death.
This kind of extreme painful paresthesia may be allodynia.
Did you find that light touch, like from clothes or touch was excrutiating, whereas deep pressure that did not move around was not nearly as painful? If so that is allodynia and is one of the worst paresthesias. It is not uncommon in MS.
It is also not unusual for it to be felt as a burning pain.

Whufff... fortunately, I have not had this particular paresthesia. Yuck!
