I'm Back on MS Forum But Unfortunately in the Hospital Right Now :(

Hi Everyone,

I am glad to e back with you all. As we all tend to know is that our members come and go only to return again at some point. One reason we drop off the grid is that we are doing well and try to go in denial that we have MS until something happens and we come back to this wonderful group of peoria for support.  That isone what brings me back. Esides I missed you guys.

I am in the hospital right now with a new diagnosis of heart disease. My MA is stable but is being affected by the heart issue. I hope to go home sometime eat this week. I hope e ergo e is doing well and would live to hear from you. There is. Itching more boring than being hospitalized and I could sure appreciate any di erosion I could get from it. Ryan's and you all take. care.

Julie

I am glad you went in when you needed to go.  I know that Lulu, I think, had told me to go in once and I didn't follow her advice right away but I finally had to go in.   My cardio said I was lucky to be alive.....that shocked me, not another health issue.  Thinking about what JJ said....

hugs, meg

Julie -

Just stumbled back in myself today...  I am sorry to hear you're in the hospital, but wonderful to hear the damage found was not as bad as feared.  I agree, it is very sound advice to everyone not to ignore the strange symptoms or presume its just 'one of those things'....   I hope you are home soon and feeling much much better!!!

Hugs,

jen

Wow!! Heart issues are becoming all too familiar around here, i am so pleased that you didn't ignore your on and off again heart sx, so easy to do though when you've got MS and we commonly blame it for everything. You are yet another warning for everyone to not make assumptions, sorry it happened to you but i am pleased you caught it early enough!

Thinking of you............JJ

I am still pretty wiped out from the sedation they gave me today for the pricedure. It wanted to GI e you guys an update.

Good news.  The blockage was smaller than expected so no stent was placed. I am going to be managed by medication, which they already started me on. It will be lifelong changes and now I am a radiology pattie t, but I am relieved that this is oliver with. I am still in the hospital and the team all agree that I need to stay a few days longer to get my strength back on the rehab unit. I promises that I won't here any longer than that. Now that this is over I can move on with my life and this new yet manageable condition. Thanks again to you all for yogurt concern and kindness. I promise not to be a stranger here. Umiased you all so much.

Love and hugs my friends,

Julie

Hi Julie!!!!!!

I hope all goes smooth with the cath, and that they indeed are able to fix any blocks, and you are on the med before long.

So glad you went to doctor :)

I'm smiling and feel like perhaps I need to offer to translate for Julie.  We have talked several times since she was hospitalized because she knows I have personal experience with this thanks to my heart attack and my husband's heart problems.

She is using her I-phone to do web work and the autospell feature is driving her crazy, along with the very small keypad - especially since she already has vision problems. For anyone who uses their smart phone, you know how hard this can be.

Julie wisely DID NOT ignore the on and off again chest pains/pressure she was experiencing.  She told her PCP who sent her for a stress test, which showed a possible problem.  There was serious concern and they immediately hospitalized her, but there was also suspicion that she was in a relapse with her MS.

This set up a stand off between cardiology and neurology - they wanted to be sure everything was ok and especially safe for her to have the angiogram (catherization). There was a 2.5 hour MRI from hel l and neurology has finally cleared Julie ,  Unfortunately this has taken several days.

Julie will have the heart cath tomorrow, and if they find a blockage they will hopefully fix it with a stent - angioplasty isn't done much anymore sine that seem to not hold.

She is so right - don't blame everything on your MS. If you have chest pains, be sure to have it checked.

I know she will appreciate it if you keep her in your thoughts, especially tomorrow when she is scheduled to have this next test done..  I will keep you posted when I hear something.

be well, Julie!!

I am so sorry a out all the spelling errors. I am accessing the web with my iPhone and can only use one hand, got an I'VE in the other.

I am going for the  angiogram tomorrowc with possible placement of stents. I am happy this procedure.is about over. It had been delayed for several days  due to making sure my MS was stable. Neurology cleared me this morning and turned my care o we to cardiology. I'm sure I will be feeling a kit better by tomorrow.

The most important thing I ha e learned over the past week is NOT to ignore  best pain. If you have it, get it checked out.

Thanks again you guys for the kind worded

Hi Julie,
I am so sorry to hear that you are in the hospital. Heart problems sound scary and I hope the drs. can fix you up quickly. Having been in the hospital many times, I sure know how boring it is. You said that you hope to be eating soon. Are you on a liquid diet? Nothing says hospital stay like a liquid diet of weak tea, overly salty broth and more Jello than you will ever want to see again!
I truly hope you fell better and get release real soon
Hang in there.
My thoughts and prayers are with you :)
(((hugs)))

\so sorry sweetie, it is always hard to be awy from loved ones, even if they come and visit.

I do hope that they find out what is wrong, and can fix it up for you.  I'm lucky that way, my heart hasn't been affected yet,

I will pray that the Dr's used wisdom and patience, in treating you, so that they will miss NOTHING !!!

take care,
((hugs))
