I was in an accident that totaled my car. I had whip lash and a very sore back. That was about 11 years ago.
I have always felt AWFUL after seeing a chiropractor!! My parents and my sister see a guy that does a really great job for them.....but not me. I usually have to have a week or so to recover from an adjustment.
I thought I was weird. I am glad to see there are others who are not sold on the back adjustment thing.
I agree with you in that I have personally seen the damage the Chiropractors have done which unfortunately outweighs the "good" they have accomplished. I personally would not see one after seeing the after effects ruin two people's lives, one a schoolmate and one the fellow my Mother and her friend fully expected me to marry. He committed suicide after the effects of a treatment by a Chiropractor gave him severe chronic pain for the two years after an accident...it really was the only way to stop the pain, he had tried everything else available at the time.
I have seen Chiropractor's help others but the helped people will never outweigh the people they have hurt in my mind.
Just wanted to see what other's thought about it.

I have to agree with Heather, about Chiropracters curing ailments with spinal adjustments. I think alot more research needs to be done.
I'm too not to keen on chiropracters so guess I'm a little biased also. It will be interesting to see after research is done the corelation between MS and trauma to the spine. Thanks for sharing :)

I went and looked at the site. I would have to doubt that Chiropracters can claim that they can cure all these ailments with spinal adjustments. I have a fear of Chiro's anyway so maybe I am biased.
I was told by my Neuro that since I have a spinal lesion that I should never allow a Chiro anywhere near me. I don't know if this has any basis, but I always listened to that advice.
I was in a rear-end collision in 1980, with whiplash and an elbow and shower injury that later required surgery. Whether MS and a car accident or trauma are related, I have my doubts, but hey, anything is possible, I suppose.
