Hi, I want to welcome you. I, too hope that you can find some way to get some relief from the pain and depression.
Are you asking if you might have MS? That would be very hard for us to know. It sounds, though, that you have enough damage and disease at the cervical level from your accident to cause all the pain and numbness you are having. The small lesions truly might be from the severe head trauma.
Who do you have in your life to help you with this?

Hi Friend,
Just want you to know I'm thinking about you and will keep you in my prayers.
Please talk to someone, or come here and vent, cry, yell, sob whatever it takes to
get you through this terrible darkness of pain and confusion you are suffering.
I just have to share my heart with you friend....
I lost my sister only 18 mo older then me,
she suffered so bad she took her own life.
I can't begin to explain the pain those left behind suffer
when something like this happens.
Time has passed since, but I still catch myself picking up the phone from time to
time to call her and tell her something or chat. Then I'm reminded that she's
gone... I miss her!
Please don't consider hurting yourself again.....
If there's anything we can do here to help lighten your heavy heart, please let us
know! I don't know if you have a spiritual belief or not, but I will lift you up in my
prayers and check back to see how you are doing!
I am guilty of keeping my pain inside, since being so sick these past 3 months, I
have learned to come here and talk to people when it seems there isn't anyone
out there that cares. I'm learning to open up and it helps me to know I'm in the
company of people who care about me!! I'm glad to see you came here!
Wishing you a better and brighter tonight tomorrow, and many tomorrows w
less pain ! Sincerely, NiCee
Hello. What has the ER determined to be the cause of your rapid heartbeat? Are you diagnosed with MS?
A pain management physician will help you get control of your pain. Managing pain is crucial for the well being of the patient. If you feel you are at your wits end you need to tell your doctor and/or emergency room staff how you are feeling right away. That is what they are there for.
Do you have an attorney who helped you at some point in time after being struck from behind? Often, attorneys have doctors that they refer their clients to and the attorney can take a load off of you to find the care you need.
Tell us more about your recent treatments, maybe we can offer suggestions.
First off, I am so sorry to hear of all your suffering both physically and mentally.
It is very hard at times to have to live in chronic pain and several other health problems.
You have certainly been dealing with a lot for such a long time.
Secondly, Are you seeing an MS Specialist right now? And just as importantly,
do you have any family or close friends near you? I ask this because having a
good "support team" (family, friends) is vital when you are dealing with chronic
health problems as it can get very discouraging (sp) and quite depressing as you
will find from many of us here.
Is there a plan of action from any of your doctors to try and find out what else is
going on? I can tell you from experience, I also have IBS-D, that it is not uncommon
to have the heart rate problems, and to be a bit anxious with that. What other meds
are you on besides the Topomax and the morphine? Are you dx epileptic (sp)?
Please reach out to someone, anyone when you are so down that you feel like
hurting yourself. I know it may be hard to see right now.......But there is light at the
end of the diagnosing tunnel.
We are here! Ask questions, come and vent, whatever you need to do.
There is a wealth of information on this forum and so many caring people.
Do you work?
Be Well my friend,
~Tonya
I tried to kill myself back in January of 2009. I don't know if I can handle this. My health has been declining for the past 6 months really fast.
