Hi, I don't remember you posting before. You have said something that I have noticed and thought I was crazy (or crazier) and never mentioned here. I also feel much worse after the first two days and then feel better. I ach all over after the first infusion.
Welcome to the forum! Would you be willing to tell us about yourself? We need as many voices from veterans as we can get. You know, if you read us much, that we'd love to hear from you.

I was on it recently too and agree with the others that it will take about a week for it to really kick in so you can feel better. While I was on it I felt weaker too, but the pain was better. Be careful about walking or rather falling right now. I fell on my rump and got the most hideous bruise ever. Take care and know that you will be better by this time next week.

Hi - I just finished day 5 as well. I have been taking iv solumedrol for years. I ALWAYS find I feel worse before i feel better - it is like taking ivnentory of all my MS damage. But it does improve in the week following infusions and then hopefully feel better than before infusions, or at least no worse. You should feel better to travel. Rest a lot first, even if it gives you the jitters.
Thanks, I will do that! appreciate the suggestion.
If you check out askapatient ******* and just put in the letters sol where they ask for a drug name, you will get a whole pile of comments from actual patients about the after effects of the drug Solu-Medrol. I think these are pretty good and it gives you an idea as to just how differently it can effect from one patient to another. Hope this helps!
Hugs,
Rena
