I'm a sad Mother today...

I have just been told by my 34 year old daughter, that she has MS.  She will be going in for her Solumedrol treatment tomorrow, for 3 days, for her Optic Neuritis.  They found 4 lesions in her brain and will be doing more investigative work in this next week.  Her NeuroOpthamologist said she she's that there is a paleness in the disc behind her eye and said Optic Neuritis.  My daughter did not tell her that I had MS, until after the doctor told my daughter they suspect MS in her.

This is crushing to me as a mother.  As it would be to any of you.

I will be absent from the Forum starting tomorrow morning, as I am driving down to be with my daughter, as she takes her infusions and just try to be some comfort to her.  We have decided that we are going to do alot of crying together, then put on our thinking caps, to plot the next course of action.

If any of you believe in prayer, my daughter could sure use them.  Thanks to all of you, in advance.

Weeping Momma,
Heather

I am so sorry to hear about Cheryl and her recent DX of MS. I am so glad you are her mother though, and you can be there to support her, and know exactly what she is going through. You are both lucky to have each other.

My thoughts and prayers are with you both...
Love,
Michelle

This is a mother's and father's worst nightmare, come true.  We don't want our children to suffer these Neurological symptoms like we do, whether we are diagnosed or still in Limboland.  We don't want our children to go through what we go through.

Thank you for your prayers.  I really do believe it will help.  You all are SO kind to me.  I'll never forget it, I promise you...

God Bless all of you,
Heather

Heather,
when I saw your post I didn't even want to open it - it breaks my heart for you as a mom, and for Cheryl as a new MS patient.  Know that I will hold both of you close in thought as you figure this out.

love,
Laura
