I just posted a vent on that 400,000 number.
But I don't think the majority of us (Americans) are of Northern European stock anymore. Definitely more of that "melting pot" thing going on in recent decades.

I saw recently that about 2.5 million have MS worldwide. The US is certainly disproportionate with 400,000, but I guess that's because so many are of Northern European stock. Lots of us also were raised in areas further from the equator than most of the world.

AMO: I guess her colleague was talking more globally, not just the half million or so that have been dx'ed in the US.

i am unfamiliar with janice dean, but i am happy she has opend up early, unlike terri garth, mayybe with more celeebs in the lime light will do positve thinks for ms.
hum... although i wonder where her colleage is getting hhher stats....'millions' struggle with?
