I'm scared

My whole lesion, MS, autoimmune, etc. etc. journey started THREE years ago.

I'm no further along in a diagnosis.  I still have numerous lesions.  HOWEVER, today - I am 10x more tired than normal... as in, could barely wake up at 0930 this morning, took a nap, haven't been off the couch tired.  And my face is a LOT more numb than it usually is...  I started taking tramadol (low dose) for pain 2 weeks ago... usually take one before bed, and it helps take the edge off my pain.  FWIW, I tested positive (anti-CCP) twice at one lab and negative twice at another lab for RA.  At the moment, what I have is being called Mixed Connective Tissue Disease with overlap syndrome - but I'm not sure that accounts for the dizziness, fatigue, pain, stiffness and swelling - along with a 20 point IQ drop, neuro symptoms and depression.

At the moment, all I want to do is sleep.  Can't read my homework, can't fold clothes... am too lazy to turn on the TV.

I feel like I am losing it....

I am so sorry. It took me over 40 years to be diagnosed with MS and many years to be diagnosed with Cancer. I wish you could be diagnosed faster. They told me I had a lot of things wrong with me until they finally figured out it was MS. The same with Cancer. Doctors are so specialized you have to have good GP to send you to the right specialist.

I hope at least they are helping with your symptoms. I do not know what they do for swelling since I have not had that. The best thing that happened to me was being sent to a good pain clinic. My MS doctor does only checks if my MS has progressed. My GP and Pain Clinic now treatment. Actually I no longer see my GP since I am at the Cancer Clinic once a week. They treat my UTIs and such since I see them all the time.

I used to never go to doctors especially not specialist. Now I go all the time. I had to keep pushing with the Cancer. I just kept telling my Doctors something was very wrong until they finally found it. They used to think I was a hypochondriac until they found I was full of Cancer. Now if I call they listen. My Cancer Doctor says I hardly complain.

I am not in Pain because of the pain clinic.

Have you tried tying the leash around your waist or would that hurt? I do gentle yoga. It sounds like anything is pain for you.

Thanks - I do like to walk my dog - the pain and swelling in my hands and wrists keep me from holding her leash - and the ankle / foot pain gets a lot worse with exercise.  When I'm in "remission" it helps tremendously.  I was just in such a total fog yesterday, I felt like I never wok up all the way!

Sometimes moderate exercise helps with low energy. I have MS and stage 4 Cancer. I try to get out and walk my dogs every day. I have to walk them separately. Doing this actually helps my energy level. When the doctor suggested it I thought it would not help but it does. For some people it is impossible. I started with very short walks even the mailbox and back.
