This is just a question more out of interest than anything else.  Has anyone had a first LP negative and then a subsequent one was positive?

I had one LP quite a few years ago and it was negative. Very possibly a new one would be positive, but there is no real reason to do one, and that's fine with me. It would not prove anything. I've long since been conclusively diagnosed with MS.

O-bands are like tree rings once you get them they never go away. My doctor said the longer you have MS the more o-bands. If my first LP showed nothing they were going to keep doing them every so many years. I have had MS since I was a child so I had 12 on my LP. Many people are diagnosed with negative LPs. That is not a test I would want to repeat.
