MRI Results

I just received my MRI results and do not understand anything they say. Can someone please help?

I am 35 years old, healthy female. Have been experiencing some numbness in head and limbs.

Here are the results:

"Minimal punctate foci of T2 and FLAIR signal hyperintensity
in
the deep white matter of the right frontal lobe are nonspecific.
These are occasionally seen in patients of this age. Most
commonly, these are of doubtful clinical significance,
but careful clinical correlation is advised as the MRI
appearance
is nonspecific and there are a host of differential
Considerations."

Thank you
L

Hi there,

Welcome to the MS forum.  Did a neuro order the MRIs? Did they order some labwork as well?

I'm sorry for the numbness, and it seems you are at the beginning stages of a work up.  I hope you have a thorough Dr. willing to get to the bottom of this.

May I ask what strength machine this MRI was done on?

Did these issues just start?

Again, welcome.  See you around!

Punctate foci are small lesions, right frontal lobe is a part of your brain.  So what this basically means is that you have some lesion activity, but further testing will be needed.
