MS OR CS?

HI I am 50 years old and I have been having symptoms for years, have struggled with fatigue most of my life and have developed cervical spondylosis as well as lumbar spondylosis and sacroiliac joint dysfunction,I have blurry vision for years although eye test shows only a little trouble with distance, and I have astigmatism, have had subocipital headaches with dizzy room spinning episodes that lasted a week to ten days three times six months a part, I have widespread joint and muscle pain but do not have fibromyalgia, I have arm weakness and the most troubling is the extensor spasticity in my right leg that has been on-going for almost four years, some days it is so bad I have to use a cane to walk as leg is completely stiff when walking and can not bend leg backwards towards butt. My spasticity has been blamed on IT band, and sijd but I don't buy that, mri's showed no significant issues in neck and bulging disc in L4. I think because I have cs they are not looking at all of me, I go to pain clinic for back and pt for neck never the whole body, and never had any kind of pt on my legs which look like skinny body builders legs because the muscles are always contracting some times so much they are sore to the touch, what can I do or say to the dr to get them to look closer at me, I am not scared just looking for answers. Thank you.

Thank you, it is just very frustrating, I have read that cs does mimic ms, either way nothing that I can do about it now, have learned pain management pretty good but there are days...as I am sure you are well aware of, God bless

Welcome to our little chatfest-

It sure sounds like you've got a pretty full plate. Some of what you describe might be attributed to MS, some to you skeletal issues. This is a pretty murky intersection. Because skeletal spine issues often manifest with nerve related symptoms, they can often mimic MS symptoms.

Have you seen an MS specialist? They would be in the best position to help you rule MS in or out.
