symptoms when getting to end of episode??

Was wondering if anyone noticed just overall weakness, fatigue and joint pain(on affected side where burning pins and needles feeling are) when the episode is starting to subside? My hand feels so funny hard to hold a pen and my 3rd, 4th and 5th finger are overlapping weird.

Also anyone notice if coffee/caffeine made the symptoms worse. I know they say to drink coffee if having a migraine, but it seems to make it worse.

I'm sorry that you haven't been feeling well. I just wanted to add my recent experience with Coffee. I LOVE coffee and did notice at the onset and during this last flare I couldn't drink coffee without it making my already short circuited nerves feel even more jangled.

Basically,  coffee and sugar made my symptoms worse. Now that the flare has subsided, for the most part, I can drink coffee like I used without my symptoms feeling worse.

Thanks, I'm getting nervous....go to the neurologist tomorrow. Just when I thought the word finding was getting better, the buzzing/burning in my rt foot and arm are in hyperspeed. Just seems like I wake up okay and by the time I'm out of the shower it starts, then at the end of the day I can hardly get to my car the fatigue is so bad. I basically go home to bed. I know that it takes a long while to get anything diagnosed, I just hope my Dr. has an idea and path to go down.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Migraine and MS are very different.  I have to disagree with Threewheelmobile about coffee.   Caffeine and Ergot (Rye Mold) have been a standard treatment (cafergot) for migraine for many years.  Statistically, it is almost as good at breaking an active migraine as the newer high cost designer drugs like Sumatriptan.   I don't know of a study that likes increasing Potassium or Fructose from a banana with resolving migraines,  Sorry, I go with the science on this one.

Migraine has been associated with vascular events.  Cafergot is thought to work by preventing the dilation of blood vessels in the brain to control migraine.  In the case of MS symptoms, maybe the constriction of blood vessels is counter productive.

As a side note, Ergot is a biological precursor to LSD.  There are some theories that rye mold may have been involved in several colorful historical events, including the Salem Witch Trials and the "seizure like" Tarantella folk dances of Southern Italy.

Hi Jenb,

When in my 1st attack, I could not drink or do, or hear anything that caused a rise in me. Stimulation made everything worse and magnified! So, I feel for you. I'm sure others will chime in here to share their experiences too.

Coffee is great for me now. I can drink it regularly thank god. A few months into the attack, I was able to slowly get back to my 2 cups a day. During this attack randomly throughout each day I was unable to write w/a pen and pencil too. During these events my speech was slurred too.

The Dr. needs to know this. When you go back?

Wrong never drink coffee. Coffee is a rotten thing to drink. Eat a banana when having  a migraine!
